Well I guess every three years Summer is due for some kind of personal injury. A day before her third birthday she split her chin open and had to get stitches. So on the first day of school everything was going good until later that evening. Summer was down the street at the neighbor's house and tried their skateboard. She lost her balance and fell off and hurt her arm. It was pretty late in the day by then and we weren't sure how bad the damage was. So we immediately iced her arm and gave her Tylenol as we wanted to try and assess how bad the situation was. She was really tired from the first day of school and passed out about a half hour later. Erick was prepared to take her the the ER in the middle of the night if she woke up but she actually slept the whole night through. When she woke up in the morning and came in our bedroom we knew it was bad. Just one look at her sausage looking super swollen arm was enough to tell us that something was definitely wrong. So we dropped Jackson off at school and headed to the ER where we were told that she did indeed break her arm. She got to pick out her own cast color and chose bright green. She was all smiles once the cast was on.
She was actually really excited to get the cast on and go to school. She couldn't wait to have all her friends sign her cast as can be seen below.
And just in case Summer felt left out, her friend Marizel broke her arm about a week later on the monkey bars.
Can't wait to see what's in store for her in another three years. Hopefully it doesn't involve any more broken bones or stitches.

It was a big adventure for Summer and she got a groovy green cast and a friend with a cast!!
She handled it like a trooper; hope she's completely mended now!!
